Gemma Barricarte (Pamplona, 1993) is a graduate in Architecture Studies by the Architecture School of Barcelona (ETSAB, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya). She is currently studying a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of Barcelona (ICTA- Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and she has studies in Fine Arts (Universitat de Barcelona). She has a long trajectory in environmental and student activism, having been part of Architecture Sens Frontières (ASF), Espai Social de Formació i Arquitectura (ESFA, UPC), Ecologistas en Acción, Fridays For Future (FFF) and the Xarxa per la Justícia Climàtica. She has published her essays and articles in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, El País, Climática and CTXT and she is part of CTXT Editorial Board. She has also carried out diffusion of environmental and political issues doing radio interviews or giving numerous conferences at places such as the Universitat Internacional de la Pau (UNIPAU), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya or the Universitat de Barcelona.
