Graduate and Doctor in Fine Arts (2015), Graduate in Biological Sciences (1984) from the UPV/EHU and Master in Environmental Education (UNED, 1992), she has been developing her professional and research work in the fields of environmental education and artistic creation and research. Since 2017 she has been a lecturer in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of the Basque Country/ Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. Her research in the academic field focuses on the study of artistic strategies in contemporary art in relation to the ecological transition, having authored and co-authored articles, book chapters, various studies and published catalogues, and having taken part in more than 30 art exhibitions. She has participated as a researcher in the R+D+I project entitled: "Environmental Humanities", within the National Programme for research, development and innovation oriented to the challenges of society (MINECO/FEDER UE 2015-2018). Since 2018, she has been coordinating the UPV-EHU project entitled "ARTEKOM: Art and Communication for the Energy Transition", an interdisciplinary project in the context of the Erasmus Networks UE4SD programme.
