PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, researcher of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT and associate professor in the Department of Art and Humanities of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico). He has carried out research stays at Oxford Brookes University (UK), the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas of the UNAM and the UAM-Lerma. He is currently preparing the book Márgenes de maniobra. Cine político y prácticas artísticas en México en los años setenta, where he explores the Mexican visual culture of the sixties and seventies from a review of militant cinema and its connections with other artistic practices. He is co-editor, together with Alberto Berzosa, of "Súper 8 contra el grano", Secuencias. Revista de Historia del Cine, no. 55 (2022).
