Ecologies of the Moving Image is a space for thinking about the ways in which cinema, especially contemporary cinema, intervenes in the relationships between cultural imaginaries, politics and the environment. The seminar is organized in seven online discussion and reading sessions (via Zoom), which propose different ways of thinking about the relationships between cinema, artistic practice and political ecology. The sessions are led by filmmakers, curators, and researchers from diverse disciplines, who share theoretical reflections, reading strategies, and methodological approaches to film practice and its dialogues with other spheres of cultural production and social action.
